Patient outcomes are the real success measure of adherence programs, and the key is getting the right drug to the right person at the right time. There are many obstacles to be overcome in the current Canadian environment and to get patients optimal therapy. This thought-provoking session will address:

  • How can you give the right drug when the Common Drug Review (CDR) gives no recommendation to over 50% of drugs approved by Health Canada, and when provinces do not necessarily accept the CDR recommendations?
  • When we do not have adherence, what is the cost to the rest of the health care system?
  • What is the impact of BC’s single source agreements and Ontario’s competitive agreements?
